I made contact with Advocare in 2008 because I was unable to get the right kind of care for a loved one. Just being able to talk through a problem with another carer who was 'unconnected' helped me to gain a clearer insight on how to deal with the difficulties I was experiencing. I felt very isolated then but in becoming a member of Advocare I made new friends and became an Associate Member of the Institute of Fundraising.
Caring for Carers out of hours
Things that might seem straightforward to an outsider can seem huge to you when you're a carer. The enquiries we receive show that carers in distress would benefit in knowing they can contact Advocare after office hours.
